Duties

You will serves as a Subject Matter Expert on Prohibited Activities and Conduct {PAC) policy providing advice, guidance, and interpretation. You will provide advice to supported commanders and military personnel on the use of the MEO complaint process to report, resolve, and dispose of complaints alleging prohibited activities and conduct. You will perform conflict management services to assist in resolving issues or refers for mediation/alternative dispute resolution. You will provide analysis of command-specific data which will enable commanders to monitor command climate within their organization, as requested. Identify trends and areas of concern, and recommend methods for improving the command climate. You will provide briefings or training on command climate issues and prohibited activities and conduct for supported commands. You will serve as Defense Equal Opportunity Climate Survey (DEOCS) administrator for supported commands. You will provide referral services for official complaint processing and outreach services for individuals that experience harassment and/or discrimination, as required or requested. You will performs the full range of administrative and technical supervisory duties including work planning, assignments, training, discipline and leave for at least two (2) employees. You will assigns work based on priorities, task difficulty and the capabilities of employees. You will interview and recommend subordinate individuals for hiring, promotion and reassignment. Resolves subordinate grievances, complaints and problems.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • You must be willing and able to accept a supervisory position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Plans, administers, provides oversight and guidance, and develops and manages overall work of the office; sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty of requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees; develops performance standards and evaluates work performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters.
