This position is located in the Division of Finance (Arlington, VA location) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support serving as an advisor on DOF’s administrative and information management data systems and applications.

Duties
Lead the development of business processes and related information management solutions utilizing approved program, project, and content management platforms.
Develops and writes code to facilitate analysis of data and to create, deploy, or maintain data pipelines necessary for information management solutions.
Conducts analysis and provides technical recommendations concerning DOF’s target information management architecture. Facilitates the development architecture elements, including development of strategy, data management, data reporting and visualization, and integration with DOF applications and business processes.
Leads the review and testing of information management solutions, validating requirements, and adherence with development standards, to include security and privacy concerns, prior to the solution being moved to a production environment.
Serves as a liaison at the program and project level between DOF business line staff and the CIOO staff. Coordinates with other FDIC Divisions/Offices, as appropriate, to maximize efficiencies and consistency.
Analyzes and evaluates changes in information management trends and assesses impact on DOF business needs and information systems. Monitors production applications and determines if user needs are being met.
Prepare reports, briefings, and other presentations for DOF management on the status of assigned projects and new technologies.
Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience in conducting analyses using machine learning algorithms AND creating, deploying, or maintaining data pipelines using programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, Apache Airflow, or Microsoft Azure technologies.
