You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT in the NAV RECRUITING DISTRICT SEATTLE.

Duties

You will transmit, receive, acknowledge electronic mail, messages checking transmittal for proper clearances and printing hardcopies to route as necessary. You will assist personnel with travel orders and vouchers explaining the use of the Defense Travel System (DTS) as necessary. You will manage fitness report/evaluation tickler for report date due and advise leadership on fitness report/evaluation matters. You will maintain records and files for assigned civilian employees, preparing requests for personnel action, keeping time and attendance. You will assist in the management of facilities and vehicles. You will assist in the management of the supply division's budget.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing and prioritizing office communications and workflow; 2) Establishing and maintaining files or records in accordance with established instructions; 3) Using computer software (e.g., MS Word and Excel) to produce letters, forms, reports, graphs, and spreadsheets; and 4) Maintaining an office calendar by scheduling, rescheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings.
