About the Position: Serves as the Chief, Operations Program Management Branch providing leadership, management, supervision, and oversight over all branch functions and staff in the areas of navigation, budget and fiscal management, and administrative support. Position also provides business processes and analyst expertise in support of the Chief of Operations. Serves as Deputy to the Chief of Operations Division.
Duties
Serves as the Branch Chief, with responsibility personally and/or through subordinate supervisors, to oversee the work of the navigation program, management support section, and administrative staff support.
As Branch Chief, serves as a second level supervisor over three subordinate sections by exercising the full range of supervisory and managerial responsibilities for technical and administrative matters over the staff.
Plans, coordinates, and oversees execution of the District's Navigation program. This includes maintenance of the District's 23 channels and harbors projects, hydrographic surveying, and debris mission.
Plans, coordinates and oversees the Operations Division budget development and budget management.
Serves as Deputy to the Chief of Operations accepting delegated responsibilities for the purposes of organizing the Division and maintaining the organization to ensure efficient and economical operations for controlling and coordinating work.
Requirements

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in at least TWO of the following areas: (1) directing aspects of program planning, resourcing, policy guidance and overall staff operations for an organization; or (2) Planning and developing program goals and objectives AND executing budgets in support of projects and technical operations in at least one of the following areas: hydropower, flood control operations, navigation, natural resources/environmental compliance, or emergency management; or (3) Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and agency policies and directives in the areas of emergency management, channel and harbor maintenance, environmental stewardship, and/or sediment cleanup and disposal.
