This position is part of the WAPA-RMR-Rocky Mountain Region. As a Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical management, planning, coordination, operation, and maintenance of the mobile workload management tool.
**This is not a remote position. The selectee will be required to be physically present at one of the duty location(s) identified.**

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and responsibility to the next lower grade level in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. This experience need not have been in the federal government.
To qualify at the GS-13:
Select the one statement that best describes the experience you possess that demonstrates your ability to perform the work of a Technical Specialist at the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service.
Applicants must have one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level or equivalent pay band. This experience MUST include all the following:
Monitoring the performance, planning, and development of the mobile workload management application.
Reviewing contracts and agreements for contractual maintenance obligations, proper equipment identification, and appropriate customer costing.
Providing guidance and training on the use of Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and maintenance workload management tool.
Time-in-Grade: Current career or career-conditional GS employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional GS employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b). Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to current career or career-conditional federal employees applying for a Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
PHYSICAL DEMAND:
Most of the time is spent in sedentary office work, however, some assignments may involve
training and observing work operations in an industrial environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Most of the work is performed in an office setting. However, some assignments may require
visits to field locations, other WAPA offices, and site visits to other utilities. Personal protective
gear and observance of safety precautions may be required.
