As a Supervisory Data Analytics Specialist, you will research, learn and apply a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness; assess team strengths and weaknesses. This position is located in General Services Administration (GSA), National Capital Region (NCR), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Office of Acquisition.We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

Formulate and implement policies that streamline operations, improve efficiency, and capture Government savings in the primary management functions. Conduct, organize, lead, direct, and coordinate quantitative and qualitative studies and analyses that are highly technical in nature. Exercise overall supervision over establishment and management of position structure, by providing balance between such elements as economy, efficiency, skills utilization and programs. Develop employees’ performance standards and makes formal appraisal of work. Advise and instruct to employees on work and administrative matters. Apply analytical processes to the planning, design, and implementation of complex information analysis systems utilizing the strategic use of data to drive decision making. Design and execute data-gathering efforts, comprehensive data studies, and initiatives for the Division in support of the Office of Acquisition. Convey findings to leadership through the creation and presentation of professional documents such as Executive Dashboards, PowerPoint Presentations, and White Papers. Manage complex workload and system reporting through Excel (or equivalent) spanning acquisitions processes and operations exploring trends, creating and tracking performance metrics, and identifying acquisition business strategies and process areas.

Qualifications

For each job on your resume, provide: the exact dates you held  each job (from month/year to month/year) number of hours per week you worked (if part time).     If you have volunteered your service through a National Service program (e.g., Peace Corps, Americorps), we encourage you to apply and include this experience on your resume.For a brief video on creating a Federal resume, click here. The GS-14 salary range starts at $139,395 per year.  If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected.  To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as managing and leading complex studies exploring trends; creating and tracking performance metrics; and identifying leading indicators that apply to business strategies and process areas in a major acquisition organization. Experience must include using analytical techniques to develop, analyze, execute, and lead spend analyses and/or pricing analyses in forming acquisition program decisions; preparing and analyzing mathematical/statistical results to develop reports based on findings; designing and executing methodologies for automated database management applications; and establishing baselines, identifying trends and making data driven recommendations.
