You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the SPECIAL PROJECTS SECURITY DIVISION (Code 7451) of CARDEROCK DIV NS.

Duties

You will lead the special projects security team and manages personnel, equipment, and resources. You will develop necessary standard operating procedures and policy for physical spaces and appropriate control processes including media in accordance with high level general guidance Facility OPSEC plan. You will develop required documentation and oversee construction and/or modification of physical spaces. You will be responsible for overall management of the physical, personnel, and operational security of the project team, reporting directly to Section Head. You will communicate and report on site compliance and issues to Section Head and Branch Head. You will incorporate and maintain document control. You will maintain all facilities at an inspection-level readiness. You will work with internal and external customers to plan, direct, and execute complex test events.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You must occasionally be able to stand or walk over rough terrain and uneven surfaces.
  • You must occasionally be able to climb in, out, on and around machinery, vehicles, ships and submarines.
  • You must occasionally be able to lift and carry heavy equipment weighing up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-4 pay band (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing specialized guidance and management oversight of security policies, procedures, programs and facilities within an organization.
