The Antitrust Division has openings for Human Resources Assistant (OA) to join its dedicated team and gain invaluable experience working in the public interest to protect the competitive process. This position is located in the Personnel Section of the Executive Office (EXO) within the Antitrust Division (ATR). Within EXO, the Personnel Section manages all human resources services, including staffing, classification, training, benefits, and payroll.

Duties

The incumbent serves as a Human Resources Assistant providing administrative and technical support to the Human Resources Specialist on the most highly complex and difficult personnel systems error and problems and associated actions. Cases which require the HR Assistant to research, analyze, follow-up and solve the most complex systems errors or problems. Examines complex pay situations or problems, researching and applying applicable laws and regulations. Processes a full range of automated personnel/pay actions for permanent and temporary employees. Ensures all complex actions are processed in accordance with applicable Office of Personnel Management rules and regulations. Research complex error listings, corrections, and other reports of discrepancies. Serves as troubleshooter and resource person for a variety of complex processing and associated situations. Uses office automation systems and databases such as National Finance Center (NFC), Empower and HRIS to input, update, correct, or retrieve complex information. Uses office automation systems to research, correct, and update complex History Corruption Update Processing (HCUP) packages from the NFC. Conducts training for the Human Resources Assistants. Provides information and advice on proper coding and the methods used to process complex personnel and associated actions. The Division's work ranges over the entire spectrum of the U.S. economy. Its merger and civil enforcement cases can affect the structure and performance of an entire industry, and its criminal enforcement detects and punishes white-collar antitrust crimes that rob American consumers. Qualifications

To qualify for this position at the GS-08 level, your resume must reflect at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level. Specialized experience is experience that has provided you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position as described above, and that is typically in or related to this position being filled. This experience must be identified in your resume. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the GS-7 level include: - Experience with processing and coding a variety of federal personnel actions and position data. - Experience with researching and troubleshooting complex personnel actions from federal automated personnel/payroll systems. - Experience with developing, extracting, and presenting content to a variety of audiences (i.e. new hire orientations, MD-715 data, position management reports).
