Duties

What will I do in this position if hired? In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the day to day functions of 3-5 grants management specialists: - The incumbent performs assignments related to all aspects of non-disaster grants management and interprets grants related documents including policies and procedures. - The incumbent is responsible for reviewing grant applications, providing technical assistance, conducting financial grant monitoring including review of payment documents and complete grant closeout activities. - Incumbent is also responsible for audit tracking and resolution process for single audits and OIG audit reports and findings including awarding and administering grants, cooperative agreements, or other related instruments, designing, developing, implementing, and interpreting grants/assistance management policies.

Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The time-in-grade and qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for this position at the GS-13 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the Federal or Private Sector and must demonstrate all of the following: Experience in the review of regional grants procedures, policies, and process flows Experience with conducting risk assessment of grant recipients for all open grant awards Experience preparing fiscal year monitoring. Supervising a team of senior grants management specialists in the area of grants financial management.
