About the position: This position will be assigned to the Outdoor Recreation, Air Force Academy, Colorado. This position does include benefits.

Duties

Provides administrative support to the Outdoor Recreation Complex; to include the Community Center facility, FamCamp, Farish, Cadet Annex, and ITT. Uses office/word-processing software and printing equipment to produce a variety of standardized documents and maintain electronic data files; uses electronic mail to transmit and receive documents and messages. Notifies appropriate staff of the need for information or recommendations and either prepares the responses or follows up to ensure a timely response by others. Performs a variety of general office duties; such as receiving telephone calls and visitors, routing and filing correspondence, and maintaining files and/or pertinent publications. Serves as Operating Instruction (OI) reviewer and point of contact (POC). Works with marketing to keep all brochures and other publications up to date. Provides IT support for more than 30 workstations to include CPUs and printers for Outdoor Recreation Center; to include troubleshooting, updates, and works directly with the IT department to resolve computer issues. Serves as a Facility Manager for ORC and RV Storage; working directly with CE to submit work orders, attend meetings in reference to work orders. Serves as timekeeper for employees in the Outdoor Recreation Complex and submits them for approval. Serves as the Equipment Custodian to over 5 million in equipment for the Outdoor Recreation Center; tracking equipment turn-ins and works with logistics to perform inventory inspections. Schedules ODR vehicles; works with the Adventure Programmers, Recharge for Resiliency coordinator and other FSS facilities to provide vehicle support. Serves as the Records Custodian; works directly with the FARM. Maintains and updates documents in MICT. Receives contractor invoices in World-wide Work Flow for Farish. Assists in maintaining an accurate and up to date database for all staff training. Responds to inquiries brought to the ODR Manager by customers, members of the staff, contractors, DOD agencies, and representatives of the private sector. Assists in training of new personnel; to include Cashiers, Recreation Assistants, Recreation Aides and Travel Clerks. Controls, monitors, processes payments and performs maintenance for the recreational vehicle (RV) lot. Upholds a waiting list by priority categories and fills vacancies in a timely manner. Manages an accounts receivables record on delinquent accounts and repeatedly follows up until payment is secured. Retains a record of current vehicle registrations and valid proof of insurance for all RV lot customers. Makes operational decisions for the RV Lot, to include planning and upgrading facility project upgrades, evictions and any changes the lot may require. Performs other duties as assigned. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Must have at least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in administrative assistant type work which has provided comprehensive computer skills using standard MS office type automation software to include MS Office, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Experience must have provided the ability to select, arrange and compose materials to support the duties and responsibilities of the position. Must be able to work independently. Must have knowledge of an organization and its staff sufficient to independently perform such duties and responsibilities listed in the position guide. Must have experience in tracking controlled documents to have the capability to perform duties at the level of the position. Basic IT skills are preferred. Must be able to perform general maintenance and repairs. Must have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including composing non-technical correspondence. Required to lift and carry objects up to 40 pounds. Satisfactory completion of a Local Files Check (LFC) and National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) is required. Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
