About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain half way between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, Alabama just off interstate 20. The depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees.

Duties

Maintain open communication with mobile patrols and posts in routine and emergency situations.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Initiate required actions such as immediate reassignment of security personnel to provide a viable response to a disaster, emergency, or security related incident.
• Assign security guards to various duties according to the assignment sheets.
• Initiate appropriate emergency actions in a terrorist attack or robbery of a money handling facility.
• Administer long and short-term investigations when solutions cannot be achieved during the course of a normal shift.
• Conduct long term investigations to apprehend individuals violating state, federal, and local laws.
• Assist in the investigation of traffic accidents occurring on the installation.
