About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill a Program and Reports Specialist position located in the Civil Works Branch. An ideal candidate will have strong experience in budget management, reporting metrics, project scheduling, and preparation of presentations and reports. An ideal candidate will also possess knowledge of the Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS), project scheduling software including Primavera (P2), and the Microsoft Office suite.

Duties

Serves as Program and Reports Management Specialist with responsibility for developing, implementing, coordinating and maintaining USACE Automated Information Systems (AIS) for accomplishing project management reporting functions. Exercises program responsibility for development, preparation, and implementation of AIS objectives, policies, program plans and projects for supported Program and Project Engineers. Interprets, develops and implements AIS databases including, but not limited to, general program requirements, reporting procedures, and control. Acquires required data element values for input into FUDMIS and/or P2 for all assigned projects authorized for environmental, design, or construction in the Alaska District.

  • This position requires a level 2 Financial Management Certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.

OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Project Management, Business Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and specialized experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate education in excess of 2 years (36 semester hours) by 18. Add the 2 percentages. Note: For the purpose of qualifications, 1 full year of graduate education is equivalent to 18 semester hours.
