The primary purpose of this position is to accomplish a variety of work which determines the unit's readiness and capability to meet its wartime mission and provide training to assigned unit personnel in the accomplishment of contingency and humanitarian missions and worldwide deployment activities.
Duties
Validate deficiencies and take corrective actions. Responsible for execution of the budget utilizing automated business services system (ABSS), which includes reprogramming, prioritization and allocation of resources.
Oversee monthly preparation of Status of Resource and Training Systems (SORTS) report. Analyze and decipher complex data and sources of information to identify trends ensuring accuracy of various automated information systems.
Coordinate with functional area managers and reserve Unit Training and Education Manager to ensure specialty training is in accordance with directives and is efficiently executed.
Maintain interface with multiple major software information management systems that aeromedical evacuation uses.
Validate members have a current security clearance on file in Joint Personnel Adjudication System (JPAS). Function as the subject matter specialist for stage management, crew management and Aeromedical Evacuation Operations Team (AEOT).

- Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft/vehicle to conferences, meetings, or functions away from the duty office/location. Travel may include overnight stays
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours and/or Shift work may be required which may include overtime and/or irregular hours
- Use of personal protective equipment is used as needed or required

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for Group Standard for Administrative & Management Positions.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level (or other equivalent pay systems) in federal service which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position. Specialized experience is experience which includes assisting in accomplishing a variety of work which determines an organization's readiness and capability to meet its wartime mission; and provide training to assigned unit personnel in the accomplishment of contingency and humanitarian missions and worldwide deployment activities.

EDUCATION: Two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or master's or equivalent graduate degree in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent. To combine education and experience, determine the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level. Then determine the education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level. Finally, add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT A COPY OF YOUR TRANSCRIPT TO VERIFY YOUR EDUCATION.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of medical operations and management principles, policies and procedures and a comprehensive knowledge of medical plans, programs and requirements; knowledge of military medical service mission, organization, programs and functions to include carrying out medical training and administrative programs to ensure medical mission can be effectively accomplished.
2. Knowledge of military medical planning and programming concepts and a thorough knowledge of squadron's medical mission, equipment specifications (Allowance Standards) and operational parameters; knowledge of medical administrative programs in order to conduct studies, analyze findings and make recommendations on substantive program changes within the squadron.
3. Knowledge and skill in the use of office systems and related computer programs to include spreadsheets, database management, word processing, web-based filing system and presentations. Knowledge of information management/information technology systems and procedures.
4. Knowledge of instructions/directives governing Government Travel and Government Purchase card programs.
5. Skill and ability to prepare project and staff reports and to deliver briefings to high level officials both civilian and military.
6. Ability to plan and organize work and communicate both orally and in writing.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
