You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND (TECOM)..
Duties
You will operate a learning management system in support of formal and informal self-study learning experience requirements.
You will design, coordinate, create, trial, and integrate interactive online self-paced exercises (such as using HTML 5 design tools) in Moodle or similar learning management systems.
You will operate web conference and recording capabilities such as Adobe Connect or similar to create and revise videos to post in learning management systems and facilitate live sessions in support of faculty and learning.
You will design, build, and operate online learning communities using a learning management system such as Moodle or social platform such as Verint in support of learning programs within a formal learning setting.
You will guide learning designers, facilitators, and assessors in the use of enabling self-study learning experience capabilities.
You will create courses and post materials in a learning management system such as Moodle, in web-based video repositories such as Marinenet
video services, and in web-based file repositories such as Marinenet Library.
You will serve as liaison with outside agencies on enabling learning matters.
You will design, develop, and validate accountability assessment of learning resulting from self-study.
Requirements
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.

Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in developing and leveraging technology to build, integrate, and enable digital learning experiences, and administrating a web-based learning management system for self-study within a formal and informal setting.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector in the design and development of digitally enabled learning experiences to support a training program.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience listed in the Qualifications section, applicants may qualify for the GS-11 position based on education OR equivalent combination of experience and education as follows:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
