You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the Marine Corps Security Forces Regiment (MCSFR) of MARFORCOM NORFOLK.
Duties
You will perform all requirements of the physical security program relating to the storage and protection of classified material up to TOP SECRET.
You will advise senior personnel on requirements for Sensitive Compartmented Information facility (SCIF) as it relates to the physical security.
You will perform as the Access Control Officer and oversee the duties of the electronic access access control program.
You will maintain security management directives, regulations, manuals, and guidelines for the overall security program management.
You will serve as the Classified Material Control Officer to provide guidance on the receipt, accounting, control, management, transfer, and destruction of classified material.
You will assist with the investigations of security infractions, evaluate reports of misconduct, and determine granting or denying classified access.
You will conduct OPSEC risk assessments in coordination with the operations and intelligence officer.
You will assist in the execution of events, exercises, and training.
You will perform the duties and responsibilities of the Contracting Officers Representative of the industrial security program
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty stations. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing oversight of daily operation of the security office and admininstration of the command's complex security program (e.g. Physical, Information, Personnel, Operational, and Industrial) to include implementing security policies, procedures, and guidance; process, review and manage personnel security investigations for different Tier Level clearances; and high degree of interpersonal skills to articulate, recommend, coordinate with effective oral and written communication.
