Duties

Serving as a Contract Compliance Specialist GS-1101-9/11 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission. These positions are located in the Student Services Division (SSD), under the Mission and Readiness Support Directorate (MRSD) and located in Glynco, Georgia. Typical assignments include:

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver's license to conduct official government business.

  • This position is Emergency Essential required to sustain operations under all conditions such as in the event of a localized emergency situation.
  • Required to complete an OGE 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, within 30 days of starting your federal employment and annually thereafter as long as you occupy a position that requires financial disclosure reporting.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Federal Acquisition Certification - Contracting Officer Representative (FAC- COR) Level II certification.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain FAC-COR Level III certification.

For the GS-09 grade level: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the federal service reviewing planning and programming documents affecting service contracts; developing a budget analysis for contracts and preparing the necessary documents to obtain contract funds; and performing inspections and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and safety measures. -OR-Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B., or J.D., from an accredited college or university that is related to the work of the position to be filled. Please provide a copy of your transcripts. -OR-An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education obtained from an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position and specialized experience. Only graduate education in excess of the first 18 semester hours may be used. Please provide a copy of your transcripts. NOTE: Only graduate education in excess of the first year may be used to qualify for the GS-09 level. Time-in-Grade: Current and former GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07 grade level in the federal service. The time-in-grade requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-11 grade level: Applicants must possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal service planning and developing procurement related documents; performing property management duties with regards to assigned contracts, including complying with policies, programs, regulations and procedures for the management and safekeeping of government-furnished property; establishing inspection schedules and performing on-site inspections to assure compliance with specifications, acceptable output and adherence to safety measures. -OR-Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., from an accredited college or university that is related to the work of the position to be filled. Please provide a copy of your transcripts. -OR-An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education obtained in an accredited college or university that is directly related to the work of the position and specialized experience. Only graduate education in excess of the first 36 semester hours will be combined with the specialized experience. Please provide a copy of your transcripts. NOTE: Only graduate education in excess of the first two years may be used to qualify for the GS-11 level. Time-in-Grade: Current and former GS federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-09 grade level in the federal service. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
