As a Supervisory Program Specialist (Patient Services), you will be responsible for the program areas of: outpatient registration and inpatient admissions for all research participants; patient transportation; patient travel services; patient travel reimbursement; patient lodging; patient appointment scheduling; outpatient clinic administrative support; patient access education and training; and quality assurance monitoring, report generation and analysis, and performance improvement activities.
Duties
Assessing, developing, implementing, and managing the Department’s programs, policies and services and assuring they are consistent with Clinical Center organizational goals, priorities and practices.
Analyzing new and emerging issues while developing strategies and solutions to respond to in the form of new policies, methods or programs.
Ensuring programs are administered in accordance with pertinent regulations, policies, standards of practices, and procedures.
Managing the budget for the programs and ensuring contracts are administered appropriately.
Overseeing programmatic assessments and evaluations and ensuring necessary actions based on the results are implemented.
Developing and implementing budget, procurement and human resources strategies to support organizational expectations; and developing, implementing and evaluating cost saving initiatives.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.

Qualifications
You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements:
You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks:1) Overseeing administrative services for clinical departments, patients and their representatives; 2) Supervising patient support staff in a clinical or healthcare setting (i.e., planning and assigning work; evaluating work performance; identifying training needs); 3) Conducting qualitative and quantitative management analyses to improve patient services.
