As Lead Logistics Management Specialist, you will lead a team to manage GRC logistics operations; employ a sound institutional logistics approach to define policies/procedures; develop strategic plans; perform long range budget and resource planning; establish priorities; implement new projects and programs; assist in the integration and performance of logistics management functions; provide leadership, coordinate with logistics program managers, assign tasks, and ensure policy compliance.
Duties
Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload among employees; arranging for team member training; monitors and reports on the status and progress of work.
Utilizes logistics management operational knowledge to perform a combination of some of the following duties: transportation, supply, equipment, disposal, and industrial property.
Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, and work.
Applies a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and improve team effectiveness.
Reports to the supervisor on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, and work processes, including individual and team training needs.
Monitors contractor performance.

Qualifications
Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:
Leading teams, monitoring contractor performance, and/or monitoring and reporting on project status and progress of work performed;
Providing technical advice and guidance on the interpretation and use of policies, procedures, and practices to inform logistics decisions;
Performing logistics or management services (forms/records/directives) work for a broad range of customers with different needs and requirements;
Recommending solutions to complex logistics or management services issues not clearly addressed in existing guidelines.
