Duties
As a Training Instructor (Faculty Development), you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Plan and execute all aspects of education design and delivery at CGSC in accordance with the Army Learning Model (ALM).
Perform research and analysis of new technologies in instructional methodologies and performs work in support of curriculum development in accordance with the Army Learning Model (ALM).
Establish design principles and development procedures for multiple instructional programs and systems in a resident and distributed Learning (dL) environment to design, implement and evaluate instructional programs of study.
Keep abreast of current trends in educational techniques and methodologies as well as, changes to policy which affect the curriculum.
Devise, interpret, or explain to others the need for written policy or procedures in functional areas of expertise and impact/need for revision in other functional areas.
Maintain current technical knowledge and experience in the Army's instructional training automation systems.
Must exercise exceptional skill in instructional design methods, practices, and programs that are grounded in adult learning theory.
Must teach FDD courses to graduate-level faculty multiple times per year (a core competency).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to successfully complete a Background investigation (Tier 1), throughout the duration of employment.
- Temporary Duty (TDY), approximately 10% of the time.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
