Duties

Manage for Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in for Material Management Branch. Develops and establishes controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment. Participates with supervisor in carrying out the supervisory responsibilities of the branch. Prepares requests for filling vacancies or for additional personnel to meet workload requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard.

  • Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day.

Qualifications

MILITARY GRADES: E5 through E7 COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: 89B, 89A, 92Y The policy to have a compatible MOS/AFSC has been suspended. When reinstated, you will have one year to meet the qualifications of this position or meet the requirements in the guidance set by NGB. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Work involves management, direction or administration of a supply program that includes a mixture of technical supply functions or staff managerial or administrative work primarily concerned with analyzing, developing, evaluating, or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures, systems, or techniques of a supply program. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training analyzing, developing, evaluating to improve supply programs, policies, procedures, techniques, etc. Experience involving the control of supply stocks and accounting for equipment. Knowledge of supply functions, cataloging, maintenance, and disposal procedures. Experience in cost estimates, budgets, or funding management. Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstruct records for complex supply transactions; and/or provide supply operations support. Experience requiring person-to-person contacts to convey information and ability to compile reports, letters, memoranda, etc. Knowledge to perform analytical assignments involving a specific issue associated with supply management or operations, or to study and recommend solutions for a segment of a broad study involving several issues or problems. This may involve such areas of concern as existing policy, work procedures, work methods, data integrity, or coordination requirements in a supply program; and may involve elements of other organizations such as contracting and procurement, data processing, accounting, or those receiving supply support. Must have at least 12 months specialized equivalent experience to the next lower grade level PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY AS THE FOLLOWING HAS CHANGED Indiana National Guard (INNG) Federal Technicians will wait 18 months after being selected for a new position before applying for another position within the INNG. Education
