Duties
As a Supervisory Social Science Analyst, you will:
Direct and supervise the activities of PD&R's Priority Projects and Innovation Division, planning, designing, developing, and deploying creative solutions to assigned tasks.
Serve as the primary point of contact, leader, and authoritative expert for implementation of programs, priority projects and innovative solutions for PD&R.
Develop, maintain, and expand partnerships with thought leaders and senior-level officials in other government agencies and industry to facilitate cross-agency collaboration on events, strategies, program initiatives, etc. and to implement innovative strategies from other organizations as appropriate.
Develop and oversee the implementation of programs, policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures for assigned projects.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Basic Requirements:
Degree: behavioral or social science; or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
or
Combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
or
Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
AND
Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Managing activities of a division or a project to implement and coordinate efforts leading to the development of improved processes, ensuring strategic goals and objectives are met; AND
- Directing senior level analysts and support staff in planning, developing and carrying out special projects to complete overall mission; AND
- Providing direction and solutions to managers or policy stakeholders on new or revised policies and programs; AND
- Developing and evaluating program policies, regulations, standards and procedures, handbooks, notices or memoranda.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
Education
The education generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. If you are qualifying based on foreign education, you must submit proof of creditability of education as evaluated by a credentialing agency. Refer to the
