This position is with the Small Business Administration, GCBD - Area 2 - DC at one of the listed locations. The incumbent serves as an authoritative area program point of contact for SBA staff, federal agencies, businesses and Congress. This position serves as a full deputy to the Area Director.

The Supervisory Area Office Business Specialist is responsible for:
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
- Requires eligibility for access to Secret information.
- This is a (drug) testing designated position (TDP).
Qualifications
GS-14
Specialized Experience: At least one year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-13 grade level) in the federal service which demonstrates the ability to work independently and includes the following:
(1) Applying and interpreting knowledge of federal procurement small business laws, regulations, policies, and procedures to support businesses for compliance with regulations pertaining to federal contracts or subcontracts; AND
(2) Reach conclusions that small businesses are eligible to compete for federal related contracts (i.e. small business application relating to procurement analysis; subcontracting analysis, size determinations, natural resource procurements, responsibility or competency).
