About the Position: This position is located within the Human Resources Command, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate (EPMD), Operations Management Division, Personnel Support Branch Fort Knox, KY.
Duties
Manage the civilian performance appraisal program.
Compiles information and reports, civilian personnel rosters and statistical data.
Manage the Civilian Honorary Awards and Performance Awards Programs.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- Incumbent may be required to perform Temporary Duty Travel (TDY)
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS -07 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involves demonstrated experience and proficiency with experience in organizational theory and techniques of analysis and evaluation; experience in administrative regulations and operating procedures that contribute to the accomplishment of program objectives; experience in understanding of personnel administrative concept and practices to recommend changes in internal administrative policies and procedures. Experience in processing civilian awards, evaluations, and personnel actions. Experience in office automation applications to include communication packages, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics and data base management. Skill in both written and oral communication; ability to prepare and deliver briefings to managers on findings and recommendations.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience to qualify. For this position at the GS-09 grade level you must possess:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education in Human Resources Management.
