About the Position: This position is with the Directorate of Resource Management, Patient Appointment System at Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC), Honolulu, Hawaii.
The incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Composite Health Care System (CHCS),Supervisory Patient Appointment and Scheduling (PAS) module serving Tripler Army Medical Center and Schofield Barracks Health Clinic patients in the Health Service Area.
Duties
Manages surgical and clinical templates and schedules for providers and technicians.
Maintains appointment schedule using automated systems and evaluates for changes as needed
Prepares Patient Appointment and Scheduling reports
Continuously reviews patient appointment procedures to identify problems and solutions
Trains appointment clerks and clinic medical clerks on scheduling appointments and related procedures
Serves as point of contact and technical expert for Patient Appointment and Scheduling activities
Assist in appointing and rescheduling patients to resolve scheduling discrepancies
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- One year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is therefore subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.
- This position requires the services of a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
