This is a NAF (student intern) position with the 17th Force Support Squadron, located on Goodfellow AFB, San Angelo, Texas. This position is considered Flexible.The position is not guaranteed any hours, but has the potential to work up to 40 hours per week. You may be required to work some nights, weekends and holidays. As a flexible employee, you are not eligible for leave or benefits

Duties

Work assignment guidelines include established Services procedures, Air Force manuals, directives and policies, procedures and requirements of the various Services activities. Duties will develop trainees analytical, judgmental, procedural, technical and operational skills. Working under the guidance of and in close association with senior personnel, performs a variety of work assignments consisting of established, specific and related tasks that have been selected to orient the employee in the practical application of basic principles, concepts and techniques of the occupational field. Assignments are selected on the basis of their progressive training value for the individual. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifying Experience: Must be registered with a College Internship Program. Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university. Subject to satisfactory completion of employment physical and necessary immunizations as required. Subject to satisfactory completion of National Agency Check with Inquiries. Skill in oral and written communication. Must be able to work an uncommon tour of duty. Trainee will be assigned at any 17th FSS activity. In Food Activities: Must be able to obtain a ServSafe Certificate. In Outdoor Recreation and/or Child/Youth Programs: Subject to satisfactorily completion of installation records check, SCH RC and NACI.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
