This position is part of the Facilities Management, Government Publishing Office in Washington,
District of Columbia.
Duties
Conducting strategic analysis to determine best practices in accomplishing missions and functions.
Using SMART objectives, which stands for specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-based goals to establish a sound framework for strategy development.
Providing oversight of Infrastructure projects.
Performing applications of qualitative and quantitative methods for assessment of programs.
Reviews organizational structure and develops recommendations for recruitment or realignment to best support emerging policies, plans, and directives.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is Required.
- Selectee must successfully pass pre-employment requirements prior to appointment.
- Selectee may be required to complete a one-year supervisory probationary period.
- Males born after 12/03/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
- TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. Applicants must have served 1 year at the next lower grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service to qualify.
Qualifications
To qualify for the Supvy Strategic Initiatives Analyst, PG -0301-14, you must meet the following requirements:
To qualify for the Supervisory Strategic Initiatives Analyst PG-14, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-13 grade level in the Federal Service that includes:
1) Developing and directing studies and conducting strategic analysis to evaluate programs and management initiatives,
2) Planning Facilities Management project plans, budgets, and schedules, including assessing risk and developing appropriate mitigation strategies,
3) Developing correspondence on key issues by preparing executive reports, guidance, and other documents including professionally published quantitative and qualitative research and articles, or
4) Implementing ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
