You will serve as a Supervisor Production Shop Planner (General) in the Production Process Department, Supply and Logistics, Code 500 at PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will direct all non nuclear and nuclear work of the Planning / WPC Division for the Production Dept.
You will supervise and provide technical guidance to the Production Shop Planning Department.
You will coordinate the work of the Shop Planning Department by planning, scheduling, and assigning work for subordinates.
You will review project schedules, plans and discusses technical aspects of the work with the planners.
You will supervise and coordinate planning functions to support multiple projects at the same time.
You will ensure planners provide complete work packages to the production shops for execution of work.
You will be required to read and interpret TWD's, drawings, process instructions, specifications, Corporate Nuclear Power Manuals, technical manuals, standards and work request documents.
You will inspect planning work to ensure project schedules are met.
You will coordinate with shops or projects to ensure the packaging and issuing of technical work documents are completed in accordance with the schedule.
You will supervise Work Packaging functions which includes the assembly of material into complete kits, needed by the mechanic to perform work. Kit includes, paperwork, material, equipment, and special tooling needed.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to life and/or carry loads/items up to 50 pounds in weight.
- Work is performed in project / shop offices, material storage areas, and shop or waterfront production areas, including aboard Naval ships and drydocks.
