You will serve as a HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT INSPECTION BRANCH SUPERVISOR I in the INSPECTION/TEST/QUALITY ASSURANCE DIVISION, CODE 720 of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will monitor maintenance, inspection, crane acceptance, and proof testing actions and procedures to assure compliance with internal and external Weight Handling Equipment maintenance management program requirements.
You will supervise the performance of process evaluation and approval associated to repairs, adjustments, replacement, and/or modification of load bearing, load controlling, and operational safety device type components
You will assist with investigation and reporting of WHE accidents involving PSNS and IMF and Regional WHE, as requested.
You will be responsible for timely and accurate completion of scheduled and interim Crane and Vertical Transportation Equipment (VTE) inspections and associated documentation, when applicable.
You will manage daily work assignments and provide accurate and timely status of milestones and due dates.
You will monitor maintenance schedules for all equipment inspected and tested by the respective WHE Inspection and Test Branches.
You will inform upper management of unforeseen problems and the need to revise work schedules.
Requirements

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
