About the Position: his position is in the Naval Hospital, Camp Pendleton, Dir of Administration, Oceanside, California.

Duties

Screen and prepare all incoming inpatient, surgery, and Fetal Monitor Strips for retention and disposal utilizing terminal digit filing system. Determine applicable retention and disposal authority for all retired records. Ensure folders are properly labeled, coded and in good condition. Order special boxes for the Records Disposal Program as needed. Enter loose medical documents in individual patient health records IAW established guidelines and procedures. Incumbent must possess baseline Information Technology (IT) and have ability to manipulate the system a/o trouble shoot minor deficiencies as needed to successfully transform documents to digital medical records. Schedule shipments to the Federal Records Center and maintains complete records of all files, shipments, transfers, and disposals accomplished.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 44 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time

OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of by 60. Add the two percentages.
