About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Marketing Office at Nellis AFB, NV.
Regular Full Time employees are guaranteed 35 hours, but may work up to 40 hours per week.
This position qualifies for benefits.
Duties
To produce marketing messages and materials from concept to delivery for the promotion of 99 Force Support Squadron (FSS) facilities, services, and programs. Responsible for prioritization and planning of advertising and promotion of squadron facilities, programs and services to the base population by means of all appropriate and available media to include print, electronic and photographic. Specifically assists in producing original designs, logos, the website, and with digital photos. Responsible for layout, correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, and formatting. Responsible for taking or acquiring digital photographs needed for publicity. Works directly with customers on publication deadlines, technical requirements, and limitations concerning graphic design, layout capabilities, publication due dates and available promotional materials. Works independently to plan and carry out assignments in accordance with instructions, policies, and accepted practices, referring only problems of unusual difficulty to supervisor for discussion and advice. Acts as the main point of contact within office for all design and print inquiries to include management of all printing projects from outside of FSS and the FSS website.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.
Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to process information and consolidate into appealing, efficient messaging. Must be organized and creative with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a timely manner. Must have knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Suite. Experience in responsible clerical or office work of any kind preferred. Must have computer skills in word processing software such as Microsoft Office, desktop publishing, graphic design and layout. Requires willingness to expand on current skills and learn new programs and techniques. Must have skills in basic graphic design, public speaking, basic digital photography, basic copy editing and proper format for various communication platforms preferred. Experience must demonstrate the ability to perform research, select, arrange, and compose material and maintain well-organized files. In addition, must have specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork using top publishing software, word processing and other software. A good working knowledge of FSS programs, practices and procedures is highly desirable. Must possess skill in dealing with customers and public.
Education
