**THIS IS A YEAR-ROUND INTERNSHIP AND NOT SEASONAL.** To be eligible for the Pathways Intern Program, individuals must have been accepted for enrollment or be enrolled during the current (Winter 2023) or next upcoming semester (Spring 2024) and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) in an accredited/qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Base Salary Ranges (See Education Section): GS-02: $34,803 - $41,985 GS-03: $35,499- $43,590 GS-04: $36,224 - $47,088

Duties

As a participant in the Pathways Intern Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position. Serve as trainee in contracting working closely with team leader and supervisor in a training capacity on assigned tasks. Observe and assist contract specialists to develop skills in contracting. Perform a variety of limited technical tasks designed to familiarize the incumbent with regulatory guidelines, terminology, procedures and techniques of the government.

Requirements

• This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Official/Unofficial transcripts with the current enrollment course load.
• Must be enrolled or have been accepted for enrollment and seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) at a qualifying educational institution on a full or half time basis.
• Educational enrollment MUST be on a half-time or full-time basis. Half-time basis is defined by the academic institution that the student is enrolled or accepted into.
• Must be willing and able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week during the duration of the internship.
• Currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited school

GS-04: Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree. Qualification requirements must be met within 30 days after the submission of your application.**

To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
