Duties
Works with the Division Chief in planning, organizing and overseeing the activities of the Maintenance Management Division.
Participates with the Division Chief in the exercise of supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Represents the Maintenance Management Division and the A4 Directorate in the variety of installation and functional area organizations.
Responsible for development, validation, application and implementation ACC and CAF Standards. Directs the logistics implementation of statistical and analytical methods to develop standards
Ensures the development and execution of operational budgets for the organization. Directs strategic planning to improve organizational direction and meet Air Force and Major Command requirements.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS: In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Standards for Administrative and Management Position Logistics Management Series, 0346.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes mastery knowledge of logistics management policies, regulations, and laws concerning weapon system sustainment, acquisition, and management process and initiatives. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures. Knowledge and skill to apply advice methods and technique to analyze difficult and complex logistic problems/issues and determine alternative courses of action for programs and projects. Expert knowledge of applied logistics program management principles, procedures, techniques, and practices as well as local techniques, processes, and procedures used in support of aircraft sustainment and modifications.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Mastery knowledge of logistics management policies, regulations, and laws concerning weapon system sustainment, acquisition, and management process and initiatives.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
Ability to plan, organize, direct functions, mentor, motivate, and apprise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors.
Ability to analyze, plan and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Knowledge and skill to apply advice methods and technique to analyze difficult and complex logistic problems/issues and determine alternative courses of action for programs and projects. Ability to analyze, interpret and apply rules, regulations and procedures to a variety of situations, and to recommend timely and economical solutions.
Expert knowledge of applied logistics program management principles, procedures, techniques, and practices as well as local techniques, processes, and procedures used in support of aircraft sustainment and modifications.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
