The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Branch Chief in support of F-22 Branch in the 5th Generation Aircraft Division, in the Directorate of Logistics, Engineering, and Force Protection, at the Air Combat Command (ACC), and oversee and manage the development and implementation of a comprehensive product (weapon system) support and sustainment strategy.

Duties
Plans, organizes, and oversees the product support planning and management activities of acquisition and sustainment for the F-22 Weapon System Team (WST).
Manages, plans, and oversees a Life Cycle Logistics (LCL) Integrated Product Team and multiple programs and activities within the F-22 WST.
Represents MAJCOM-level LCL and support with contractor, installation, and functional area organizations.
Performs analysis to identify unique problems, new technologies and provide solutions.
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through assigned military and civilian subordinates ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements meet customer needs.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions, Logistics Management Series, 0346.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes knowledge of theories and principles of logistics management planning and execution. Practical knowledge of systems subsystem and/or commodity design along with familiarity of specifications and understanding of maintenance requirements during the stages of life cycle logistics. Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria used in measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of programs to improve plans, and in developing and modifying work methods. Knowledge of support requirements related to the sustainment activities to provide coverage of funding, and a variety of other technical support activities. Knowledge of major issues, program goals, work operations, and managerial channels of activities involved in weapons systems management with regard to sustainment programs.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of theories and principles of logistics management planning and execution.
Knowledge of analytical techniques and evaluation criteria used in measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of programs to improve plans, and in developing and modifying work methods.
Knowledge of support requirements related to the life cycle logistics to provide coverage of funding, supply, and a variety of other technical support activities.
Skill in stratifying resources against approved programs; planning, presenting, and executing budgets; analyzing budget impacts on programs; forecasting long-term funding requirements; reviewing, evaluating, and presenting data; and supporting analysis of logistics management programs and activities' specialized documentation, etc.
Ability to apply principles and concepts of logistics management to develop plans and collaborate with customer and stakeholders to cover weapons systems sustainment. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and written presentations and deal effectively with all levels of management during meetings, conferences, and related activities.
Ability to plan, organize, mentor, motivate and lead others in studies or projects and to negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations where proposals involve substantial resources and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
