About the Position: The US Army Medical Materiel Agency (USAMMA) is a unique and multifaceted organization that acts as the Army Surgeon General's central focal point and Executive Agent for strategic medical logistics programs and initiatives. Duties

Provide technical and administrative guidance, training, and supervision to personnel engaged in the maintenance and utilization of Amy medical devices. Develop standards and evaluate work performance of subordinates. Monitor personnel roster to ensure full capacity and initiate actions to fill vacancies. Analyze existing procedures, regulations, policies, requirements, training levels, availability, adequacy, and condition of sustainment plans, maintenance data, resources, and execution. Prepare a variety of reports in support of planning, programming, budgeting, execution, and review of medical device maintenance management and support requirements. Conduct special studies utilizing wholesale and retail medical maintenance knowledge to offer solutions to problems that involve difficult or unusual modifications, adaptations, or compromise with standard policies or techniques.

Requirements

  • Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
