Duties

You will be very familiar with applicable agency policies, guides, regulations, manuals, and precedents. You will serve as an Engineering Technician to develop and/or coordinate and lead the development of programmed and unprogrammed execution plan and performs field investigations and surveys to determine existing conditions. You will have basic familiarity with both 'Design Bid Build' and 'Design Build' methods of design and construction. You will assist contracting personnel or COAR with negotiating as needed. You will focus on executing projects within established schedules and costs.

• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing work associated with surveying, inspecting, programming, scoping, estimating, designing, monitoring, reviewing, and/or managing all types of sustainment, repair and maintenance work; construction projects; and facility support service contacts for a wide variety of clients.
