Duties

Serve as point of contact providing technical expertise to the command and outlying branch medical clinics for active-duty health care claims under the supplemental Health Care and Non-Naval Health Care Programs. Generate reports, identifies errors, implements corrections, and produces graphs identifying health care services with associated costs on a quarterly basis. Educate the provider staff and support personnel regarding the health care programs. . Assist in resolution of collection issues for active-duty members as a result of inappropriate billing of services.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.
• Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
