You will serve as a Supply Tech (OA) in the Logistics Readiness Department, Material Management Flight Customer Support Section of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR PEARL HARBOR. (647th Logistics Readiness Squadron, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI).
Duties
You will be responsible for analyzing, developing, evaluating or promoting improvements in the policies, plans, methods, procedures or techniques of supply programs and operations.
You will plan, organize, and manage the activities of the Customer Support Equipment Element, which includes ensuring that organizations comply with all legal and regulatory requirements while meeting customer needs.
You will provide supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or other operations for equipment and/or parts requiring special handling.
You will write internal technical procedures and instruct others as necessary to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met.
You will determine stock levels needed for non-recurring, specialized items based on usage, inventory, project demands, seasonal demands, changing customer needs, and projected depletion.
You will prepare recurring and special reports.
You will perform administrative office support functions and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members, related functions, and operating officials.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized Supply Technician experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing supply operations support by applying a thorough knowledge of supply principles, concepts and methodologies in one or more of the technical supply specializations (inventory, packaging, storing/distributing, or cataloging) or of supply program operations. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Applying a comprehensive knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions to ensure supply support for production, overhaul, repair, or critical specialty items; 2) Conducting research and analyses of information in order to make recommendations to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency; 3) Providing excellent customer support to ensure services meet expectation; 4) Utilizing various automated systems and software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Access) as required to maintain accurate records and generate necessary documents; 5) Communicating well both orally and in writing.
