The incumbent serves as a technical specialist responsible for soliciting, acquiring, collecting, evaluating, compiling and selecting appropriate technical navigational and related operational data for inclusion in aeronautical products and publications.

Duties

The incumbent will be involved with formal and on-the –job training in the preparation of Aeronautical information for dissemination in the Federal Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) System (FNS) to ensure a safe and efficient National Airspace System (NAS).

Qualifications

TO QUALIFY FOR THIS POSITION AT THE FG-11 LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one (1) year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the FG-9 level. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized Experience includes: Experience evaluating Navigational Aid (NAVAID) outages whether temporary and permanent; and the impact on Instrument Flight Procedures (IFP). Apply basic instrument flight procedure principles for revising terminal/en-route instrument flight procedures and creation/dissemination of Notice for Aircrew Missions (NOTAM); experience as a Pilot, Navigator and/or Air Traffic Control.OREducation Substitution: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.
