This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Office of Presidential Libraries, George W. Bush Library. As a Museum Technician, you will be ensuring that the proper procedures are followed with regard to the care, registration, documentation and exhibit of museum collections.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: For the GS-05, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Following established procedures to ensure museum objects of historical or cultural significance are protected from environmental hazards, such as extreme temperature/humidity, mold, damaging lighting conditions, or pests; AND
Collections management, registration, cataloging, research, inventorying museum collections, preservation, restoration, or conservation of collections of museum material, or other experience related to the position to be filled.
OR
You may substitute education for general or specialized experience as follows: 4 years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with major study, or 24 semester hours of course work in a related field such as aeronautics, anthropology, art, geology, history, natural science, technology, biology, or zoology.
