Duties
As a Management and Operations Specialist you will:
Serve as Deputy Director for Management and Operations for the ORR Division of Readiness and Response Science (DRRS)
Identify and analyze issues and their impact as they relate to DRRS science, programs, and partnerships.
Consult on and monitor the outcome of these programs through various means to evaluate the effectiveness of project activities in meeting the needs of the division and the agency.
Identify and analyze issues and their impact on public health emergency preparedness and response policies as they relate to programs.
Foster, build, and maintain cooperative and collaborative relationships with appropriate officials of state, federal, non-federal, organizations.
Review recommendations and approves policies and procedures for the most effective use of Division resources.
Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
Direct, coordinate, and oversee work through subordinate supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-15 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level, which must include the following experience with allocating human and financial resources; advancing public health policy; and developing methods for management and fiscal accountability, acquisition strategy, and collaborative relationships with appropriate state, federal, non-federal organizations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
