This position is part of the US. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Development Policy (ODP), Environmental and Social Risk Assessment Division. As the Senior Supply Chain Risk Advisor, you will support the development of guidance on supply chain labor due diligence - with an initial focus in the solar sector - and will conduct screenings, assessments, and monitoring of DFC investments through a supply chain risk lens.
Duties
Develops procedures and supports implementation on supply chain risk screening, due diligence assessment, and monitoring (with an initial focus on the solar sector). This includes assessing existing traceability protocols, chain of custody methodologies, supply chain mapping, and social compliance audit and certification programs.
Disseminates good practices documentation related to supply chain risks including the integration into updated ODP Environmental and Social Risk Assessment procedures. Keeps current on relevant supply chain and forced labor-related policies, tools, and activities of other development finance operations.
Liaises with forced labor- or supply chain- focused civil society organizations, NGOs, technical organizations, and specialists in other development finance institutions to build strategic partnerships and opportunities for institutional learning.
Conducts screening, assessments, and monitoring through a supply chain risk lens and be a source of supply chain risk assessment policies, tools, and resources for fellow ODP Environmental & Social Risk Analysts on projects under consideration for DFC support.
Provides training (formal and one-on-one), guidance and briefings to DFC Project Managers and Investment Officers in other DFC departments, and to Analysts within ODP to facilitate their assistance in identifying and communicating supply chain and forced labor-related risks to clients.

- This position will require foreign travel to developing countries
Qualifications
Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level). Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than the closing date of this announcement.
TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
You may qualify at the GS-14 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service that demonstrates your ability to 1) Identify and assess social risks in international solar supply chains, including assessing working conditions and human rights risks; and 2) Draft or disseminate policies and/or procedures on supply chain labor due diligence, assessment, and monitoring.
Note: Education is not substitutional at this grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
