This position is located under the Office of Field Operations, Explosives Enforcement Training Division in Huntsville, Alabama.

Qualifications

To qualify for GS-15, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-14. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Examples of specialized experience include: Assess, develop, and evaluate program goals, needs, operations, and accomplishments; AND Initiating, planning, and directing studies, surveys, operational reviews, or other projects to ensure efficiency and economy of operations; AND Directing the development of appropriate measurement techniques and methodologies pertaining to division programs and projects; AND Advising and providing technical information on significant issues or matters pertaining division programs, program initiatives, and projects. Experience applying ATF law enforcement investigative techniques in order to direct a major field component of the Bureau; experience executing and coordinating criminal enforcement programs to make operational decisions regarding investigations of a criminal nature.
