About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Peterson Hub located on Peterson Space Force Base.
This position may require shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
Must be able to frequently lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Must be able to continuously stand and walk and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull, and bend for long periods of time. Will be exposed to high temperatures, hot surfaces and cutting utensils.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs a variety of simple, manual tasks involving the use of simple hand tools and equipment.
Lifts and carries light-to medium weight packages, materials, and tools.
Sets up/breaks down tables for Club events.
Performs on-spot-checks of maintenance items such as: light bulbs, leaks in bathrooms, broken furniture, bathrooms fixtures, and other faulty equipment at the Club.
Opens and unpacks cardboard cartons by hand and removes contents; lifts and carries light-to-medium weight packages, materials, tools, furniture, debris, etc., and places them where directed.
Uses hand trucks and/or dollies to move bulky but relatively light loads (e.g., boxes of copier paper or other office supplies).
Cleans Club's kitchen area, loads and unloads dishwasher, sanitizes tables, and labels food items.
Follows contract instructions provided by the Caterer or Club manager for room set ups. Operates a box truck (approximate weight up to 10,000 pounds) to transport tables and chairs, food items, and other supplies to the Club's satellite snack bars on base; Incumbent independently packs and unloads items to and from tile Club to the designated destination.
Helps with pizza prep line and pizza deliveries when needed.
Performs and documents vehicle operator maintenance, such as fluids levels, air pre sure, cleaning washing truck, and car battery changes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and one every three years thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Drug Testing. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to use hand tools and equipment properly, and be physically able to frequently lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to follow established safety standards and procedures, and be able to follow specific oral instructions.
Must have skill in maneuvering and driving vehicles weighing p to 10,000 pounds.
Knowledge of defensive driving techniques and regulations.
Must be able to follow simple oral instructions involving duties with several distinct tasks or steps.
Exposed to high temperatures, hot surfaces and cutting utensils.
Must possess a valid drivers license.
Must be able to actively bend, stoop, reach, and work in awkward positions.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a pre-employment physical.
Must be able to satisfactorily complete a National Agency Check with Inquires Tier 1 (NACI).

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
