This position is located within the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), VA Mid-Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6), Salisbury VA Health Care System (SVAHCS), Salisbury, North Carolina. SVAHCS consists of the Salisbury VA Medical Center main campus, Charlotte Health Care Center (CHCC), Kernersville Health Care Center (KVHCC) and Charlotte Community Based Outpatient Clinic.
Duties
The incumbent serves as a Corporate Compliance General Investigator (CCGI) covering all areas within SVAHCS. The incumbent reports directly to the Corporate Compliance Chief, who reports to the Executive Director, SVAHCS. Major duties include but aren't limited to:
Supporting the Corporate Compliance Investigator Coordinator and Chief
Coordinating, determining, evaluating, and conducting assessments for investigations and/or fact findings related to both clinical and non-clinical issues
Supporting AIB team members and support staff in completing the AIB
Taking the lead role on the Fact Finding Team
Writing final reports and other documents for all investigations, creating and maintaining the evidence file
Providing education to supervisors and employees regarding investigative matters

Physical Requirements: The work involves intense concentration and relatively long periods of sitting with some walking. Training involves standing and walking during interactions with Executive Leadership, Service Chiefs, Supervisors, and other medical staff and as appropriate. Work is generally sedentary, working predominately with the computer, but standing, bending, walking, and carrying of lightweight items such as reports, and manuals are required.
A supports the use of telework as a way to help attract and retain talented individuals in public service, increase worker productivity, and better prepare the agency to operate during emergencies. This position may be authorized for telework. Telework eligibility will be discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-11 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Conduct administrative investigations at all levels; Educate and train employees on the investigative processes; Writing reports, documenting case logs/findings, conducting debriefs; Presenting final investigation findings to all levels of management; and perform case research and policy reviews related to investigations.

To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in hospital administration, public health administration, or related fields such as business or public administration with course work in health care administration or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related

Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at the GS-09 level. To calculate, first identify the percentage of required education you have earned (when substituting, you cannot use the first 60 semester hours that you earned). Then identify the percentage of required experience you possess. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify at the GS-XX. For example, an applicant who has 9 semester hours of graduate level education (i.e. 50% of graduate education required) and 6 months of creditable specialized experience (i.e. 50% of the required experience) would equal 100% of the required experience for the position A transcript must be submitted with your application if you are basing all or part of your qualifications on education.
