Serves as a market research analyst and strategic advisor for the Office of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement (QC/CASE), Federal Acquisition Service (FAS), General Services Administration (GSA).Location of position:  This position is located at 1800 F. Street Washington DC, 20004. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.

Duties

Develops, and adapts mathematical, statistical, econometric and other scientific methods and techniques to analyze management problems of a highly significant nature which may be broadly stated or ill defined. 

Requirements

  • US Citizenship or National (Residents of American Samoa and Swains Island)
  • Meet all eligibility criteria within 30 days of the closing date
  • Meet time-in-grade within 30 days of the closing date, if applicable
  • Register with Selective Service if you are a male born after 12/31/1959

Specialized experience is experience using analytical and evaluative methods to perform market research studies, performance planning efforts, market analysis, other market research activities, and present data and recommendations. OR,Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduation leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D., if related.OR,Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a Bachelor's degree. For the GS-11 starting salary $82,764.00: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-9) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is experience using qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and interpret data. This experience must include performing market research studies, market analyses, and other market research activities to include routine marketing tasks, collecting market research data, prioritizing work assignments, and evaluating and presenting information and recommendations to a variety of audiences. OR,Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree, OR 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduation leading to such a degree, OR LL.M., if related.OR,Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have an combination of specialized experience and education beyond a Master's degree. For the GS-12 starting salary $99,200.00: Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is experience using qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze, interpret, present, and explain large data sets and make recommendations to a variety of audiences; and providing technical guidance to lower level analysts. This experience must include performing quantitative, cost/economic analyses, market research and assisting with complex market studies, which includes data analysis and statistical modeling. Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-9 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-7; for a GS-11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9, and for the GS-12 you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-11.
