THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for a PROJECT SPECIALIST, Position Description Number T0042000 and is part of the PA Human Resources Office Army, National Guard.
Indefinite NTE 4 Years

Duties
As a Project Specialist, GS-0301-09, you will coordinate, analyze, direct, and evaluate one-of-a-kind and non-recurring projects/programs and operations. Assemble background information, drafts portions of response as appropriate. Implement procedures for the control, maintenance and disposition of records relating to projects/programs. Compose and prepare a variety of correspondence, reports, records, briefing materials, and statistical and narrative material required to support the project/program. Review and evaluate projects and action items received by the office. Manage and assist in coordinating all reasonable accommodation requests. Ensure that all reasonable accommodation requests are processed in accordance with applicable references. Collaborate with supervisor(s) during the on-going, informal interactive discussion(s) with the individual seeking an accommodation. Involve appropriate personnel who provide recommendations to the person responsible for making the decision on a request for reasonable accommodation. Update the appropriate tracking and monitoring system for reasonable accommodation requests. Maintain all reasonable accommodation case files in a secure manner. Ensure the confidentiality of medical information. Access to this information is limited to a need to know in accordance with applicable law and regulation including HIPPA. Medical records will be maintained separately from personnel records, and if required, will be maintained by Health Care Providers in accordance with HIPPA. Perform other duties as assigned.

This is a Title 5 Excepted Service position in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.
AREA OF CONSIDERATION:

AOC A: NG Employees working at the location specified.
AOC B: NG Employees of the Pennsylvania National Guard.
AOC C: Open to the public.
TEMPORARY PROMOTION/REASSIGNMENT: Currently employed permanent technician selected will occupy this position as a Promotion not to exceed or Reassignment as appropriate in their present status.
INDEFINITE: Indefinite employment status pertains to applicant nominated, who are not a currently employed permanent technician. Indefinite appointments may acquire permanent status depending upon future force structure requirements; indefinite appointments do not serve a trial period. Indefinite appointments may be separated when their services are no longer needed or when funding is no longer available via a 30-day termination notice.

GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Ability to analyze problems to identify significat factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; the ability to plan and organize work and the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Application must indicate at least 24 months experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience can be: ability to process reasonable accommodation requests in accordance with applicable references; the ability to collaborate with supervisors and employees; the ability to provide recommendations through the chain of command, knowledge of applicable law and regulations including HIPPA, and ensuring the confidentiality of medical information.
QUALITY OF EXPERIENCE: Length of time is not of itself qualifying. Candidates' experience should be evaluated on the basis of duties performed rather than strictly on the rank of the individual; however, established compatibility criteria/assignments must be followed. The applicant's record of experience, training, and education must show possession of the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to fully perform the duties of the position to be filled.
