About the Position: Serves as a DASC, with responsibility for Army-wide program planning matters. As subject matter expert, formulates, implements, interprets, and evaluates policies and procedures relating to the direction, operation and management of weapon systems acquisitions oversight.
Duties
Provides technical expertise in the development of plans and objectives and policy and program planning.
Conducts review of policies, plans, and programs and makes recommendations on program cost, schedule, and performance.
Provides weapons system acquisitions oversight for all assigned programs.
Recommends technical, programmatic, and funding actions that have significant impact.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance (Sensitive Compartmented Information) for the duration of employment.
- One year probationary period may be required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
- The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. Pre-employment and random drug testing is required.
- Selectee must meet the DoDI 5000.66 requirements applicable to the Career Category of Program Management and Practitioner Career Level Certification must be met within 60 months.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as performing duties that include: 1) Working with Headquarters level staff such as HQ Department of Army, Office of the Secretary of Defense, or Congress for the purpose of coordinating documents, attending meetings, or preparing responses to inquiries; 2) Planning or organizing acquisition program management support; and 3) Preparing documents in support of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11).
