Duties
The selectee will serve as a Human Resources Specialist in the Office of Human Resources (HUM), Human Resources Policy and Accountability Division (HRP). Typical work assignments include:

Qualifications
You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting base salary $117,962) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level performing duties such as: Reviewing new or revised human capital laws, regulations, and/or executive orders to determine impact on current policies, procedures, and practices and recommend necessary changes; conducting audits and reviews of human capital programs to ensure compliance with merit system principles, laws, regulations, and policies and assess program effectiveness and efficiency; preparing written reports of audit findings and required and recommended corrective actions; and consulting on human capital initiatives and special projects to support the mission and improve organizational operations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
