Serves as the supervisor of the electrical department, exercising technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers.
Recruitment Incentive Authorized - 3 Year Service Agreement for $10,000.
Duties
Reports and is accountable to the Maintenance and Operations Foreman for the satisfactory completion of all jobs assigned and all supervisory duties.
Reviews work of subordinates for quality control, technical adequacy, code-compliance and safety.
Is expected to provide immediate local supervision and hands-on technical assistance to subordinates In the completion of repairs.
Serves as the supervisor of the electrical department, Facility Management Service Line, exercising supervisory responsibility over the work operations in that department.
Supervises the safe and correct installation, maintenance, and repair of the Medical Center's electrical equipment, substation, switchgear, underground primary lines, transformers, and secondary electrical distribution systems.
Responsible for the preventative maintenance, repair and certification of all elevators, fire alarm systems, emergency power systems, and electrical safety tests.
Utilizes standard office suite software to create, compile, update and maintain accurate records of tests on equipment to meet the documentation requirements for Joint Commission and other Authorities Having Jurisdiction.
Establishes deadlines, priorities, work sequences and plans work assignments based on general work schedules and shortand long-range plans developed.
Assigns and explains work requirements and operation instructions to subordinates and sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed.
Initiates recommendations for promotion or reassignments.
Plans and establishes overall leave schedule of subordinates to ensure adequate departmental staffing is maintained at all times.
Be certified as Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) within 60 days of appointment.
