You will serve as a SECURITY SPECIALIST in the WARFIGHTING ASSESSMENT AND READINESS DIVISION (N9) of COMNAVSURFPAC.
Duties
You will provide security management training, and administrative expertise for the implementation of Special Access Programs (SAPs).
You will be responsible for implementing operational procedures, control system access, and maintain the most up-to-date Information System Security Plans (ISSP).
You will develop, review, and evaluate technical and operational documents and directives dealing with program implementation throughout Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CNSP).
You will develop and present Special Access Program (SAP) security training tailored to subordinate commands.
You will ensure Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet (CNSP) Special Access Programs (SAPs) SAP-Fs comply with applicable Department of Defense (DOD), Secretary of the Navy (SECNAV), and National-level multi-discipline security policies.

- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
- You will be required to submit to a polygraph examination on a recurring basis.
- This position may require the ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces.
- You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for this position.
- This position may require the ability to work onboard ships.
Qualifications
For the GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing security management, training, and administrative guidance by analyzing personnel and information security plans for the implementation and evaluation of Special Access Programs (SAPs) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
